CONFLICT MANAGEMENT

CONFLICT MANAGMENT

This is the first step of being able to management almost any conflict:  the first person(s) tell all about what they think how the conflict started and how it came to this point in time.  The other side merely listens.  Then the other side does the same.  Then the side that just finished telling how it started and where it is when both sides are meeting now, tells what part they had in the conflict.  The other side, merely listening.  Then, the other side does the same thing.

The third stage is when each side asks the other side what they would like them to do to settle the conflict.  Both sides do this.

The fourth stage is that they either agree of disagree on the terms set forth.  If both sides agree, then they set a date to evaluate their progress.  If they disagree and can't reach any agreement between the two sides, that is the end of this attempt to settle their conflict.

In most sports, there is one winner and one loser.  The winners shout for joy, while the loser say "just wait until the next game, we'll win that one!"
