I want to use my blog at times to give my opinion on things I'm thinking about.
Here's one: I don't think persons who are called to teach God's Word should become drawn into earthly debates. Jesus said,"Render to Ceasar what is Ceassrs and render to God what is God's". The coin He held had Ceasar's image stamped upon it, but we are made in the image of God. There are two levels here; one is earthly and the other is spiritual. Some of us are expecially set aside to serve God by feeding His sheep the Word of God. Let the others without a calling to this ministry, work on Ceasar-level issues. I hate to see those who are called to minister spiritual life waste their time and energy on those things which others can take care of. As ministers, our responsiblity to Ceasar is to repect and pray for all those who are elected officals, regardless of their political persuasions. We need to use our energy to learn and teach the life-changing Word of God and to awaken spirituality in the hearts of men.
