NOAH FALLS OVER DRUNK
The Bible tells about Noah and how he preached righteousness to all those around him; but the people were so evil that God sent a mighty flood that wiped out all the life on earth, except Noah, his family and all the creatures he brought into a large ark.
After the great flood, Noah began to till the land; and one of the fruits he grew were grapes. He drank the juice from the grapes, but when he allowed the juice to sit for awhile...it became strong wine.
He Bible goes on to say that Noah drank of this strong drink, and when he did he fell down and his robes were opened and he exposed himself.
His youngest son came upon his father and laughed; he ran out and told his two older brothers...they did not think it was a laughing matter.
These two elder sons took a large coat, and without even looking over their shoulders, they backed toward their father and careful slid the coat down upon their father's nakedness and so they had covered his shame.
To me, this is an example of how Christians should behave when they see the sins of others; so often they will run out and tell others...and in so doing, they pass on their opinions of the sins of others.
I believe it's alright to confess our own sins, but when we include others who have sinned with us, we are exposing their shame to others also. This is very painful for all involved; the person who exposed the others may well live to regret it...and those that person exposed, they didn't have a chance to confess for themselves.
The Bible tells us that love covers a multitude of sins....that love is God's agape love, the love that sent Jesus to His cross...and through His death all sin can be forgiven.
If all the above I mentioned have this agape love in their hearts, then everyone can walk with a sense that all their sins are forgiven.
Let us give tanks to our God for His Son Jesus Christ, Jesus is the same, yesterday, today and forever. May this writing help those who read it.....Brother John Romaine
